This week it is a completely new run from the pub at Bessels Green. For start point ...
See link HERE
I expect you will all know it and will know it is only 5 min drive from Hollybush - so if you need to do the kids hand over - No problems
I have been out over the route a couple of times over the past week and have selected it because despite the rain, it is not muddy. So good underfoot (with the possible exception of the first 200 meters). However, I would still recommend off road running shoes but if you don't have them you can get away with it on this run.
The route in comparison to what you guys normally do is fairly flat - or at least there is only one hill and that is long and gentle so you may not notice it. So you wont get any shocking surprises and the end is all back down the gentle hill. I know I have lost much (all) of my credibility with many of you guy on statements like that - but this time it is actually true. The route is almost all new (about 25% is on a route some of you may have done over 18 months ago). There are a number of short cuts on the route for those that might want a less demanding day and we will or course look to send Lars in the opposite direction, as usual with away runs!!
The pub, The Kings Head, opens at 9am for coffee and they have been warned. However, they may not be able to cook until nearly 9.30am - albeit many of us don't get in the coffee shop until close to that time. Picture below taken on the trial route last week. See below...
Weather looks dry but a bit cloudy on Saturday, so all looking very good. There will be at least 3 coaches out this Saturday, so slower guys need not worry.
See you all out Saturday - Dave

I plan to do the 10k. Not with the aim of smashing any records but primarily as an excuse to raise a little bit of money for two good causes: The Stroke Association and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Two charities that have had a direct impact on my family recently.
My fundraising page is: http://www.virginmoneygiving.com/petes10k
The best bit is that my firm is going to match the funds I raise (up to a limit) so, with gift aid, a tenner becomes £22.50! Super!
No pressure to donate (we all have enough charitable demands these days)
See you on Sunday!
