Residents are being urged to sign up for this year’s Sevenoaks Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile to raise money for good causes both home and abroad.
Returning to Sevenoaks for only the second time, this year's Sport Relief Mile takes place on Sunday 23 March at Sevenoaks Prep School, Godden Green, Sevenoaks (TN15 0JU) at 11am. The event also includes family fun and activities running from 10am to 3pm.
Both regular and occasional runners can take part as there's a choice of one, three or six mile courses to complete.
Everyone who joins up will be encouraged to raise cash for Sports Relief to help transform the lives of people living here in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries while being part of an incredible nationwide event.

Sevenoaks District Council’s Chairman, Cllr Alan Pett, will be at the event leading a Council team. The chairman will also launch the District’s free airAlert service.
In addition, the Council will provide a healthy living stand handing out free day passes to Sencio leisure centres and free smoothies to anyone who is ready to make the healthy drink using pedal power on the Council’s famous Smoothie Bike.
Renowned magician Robert Pound will wow guests with his hilarious family show and there will be face-painters, gladiator podiums and bouncy castles.
Fresh food will be provided by local businesses and activity taster session will be available, including Zumba, Ju Jitsu and amateur boxing. Kent Fire & Rescue will be on hand to provide free fire safety advice.
Cllr Alan Pett, the Council's Chairman, says: "The Sevenoaks Sport Mile promises to be a fantastic family event raising money for really important causes while helping the community improve its health.”
